Tutorial: How to survive in Prehistoric Australia.
Prehistoric Australia is one the most difficult dimensions to survive in, not because of animal dangers but because of how barren it is. It's a desert, after all. However, Prehistoric Australia can be survived in.
First, Prehistoric Australia has apple trees. They are rare, but if you wander enough you should find a few. These trees provide you with food and wood.
Second, Prehistoric Australia has water. Water is found occasionally in the dry lake beds. Use buckets to bring two water source blocks together to form an infinite source.
Third, Prehistoric Australia has soil. Between all the red gravel, there are red dirt blocks commonly found on the surface. If you put red dirt next to water, after at most 5 seconds the red dirt turns into default, farmable dirt. However, you have to important crop seeds from the present.
Fourth, Prehistoric Australia has food. You can get food by collecting apples or killing procoptodons and thylacoleos for their meat. Procoptodons are passive but thylacoleos are hostile. Be prepared to fight a thylacoleo at any time in Prehistoric Australia.
Lastly, Prehistoric Australia has building resources. Wood is too rare to practically use for building, but you can use Prehistoric Australia's red stone to make red cobblestone and red stone bricks.
