If some of you are registered there, let's experiment on MineClone organization: https://codeberg.org/MineClone
Please write your Codeberg user names here for me to list them as owners of MineClone org
I think it would be better to use https://codeberg.org/MineClone5. That way there is no ambiguity with the original Mineclone and Mineclone2.
Maybe just use Github. Pretty much everyone has a Github account already.
Well, github is good, but
we havethe idea is use something different than Minecraft does, and better non-profit"MineClone" without a digit means when I typed it I thought about trying to collect all clones in one org, but not sure if it's possible (but @tacotexmex can try, if he wants, why not, doubtful doesn't mean impossible), so the current org is for current experiments on creating repos, importing issues, communicating, trying CI/CD stuff if they are, etc
https://codeberg.org/mrrar
I think it would make sense to put all in one org.
While we certainly dont agree on everything it would still work out fine pretty sure.
I can finally use my prefered username. https://codeberg.org/PrairieWind
https://codeberg.org/cora hehe
Why don't we use github?
I mean, we will use github clones all day long, but using github is free, so why don't we use the real thing instead?

theres gonna be at least one person who doesnt like it + not sure how i feel about it myself.
Also codeberg runs gitea so migrating might be easier.
I don't know, not gonna cause an arguement but this whole "using 100% free, non-profit stuff for every single thing we do related to MineClone" thing is kinda... idk... pointless?
Not sure why you think it's pointless but even if that were the case there is no reason to go with a multinational cooperation that might sue us at some point lol.
plus github is kinda annoying to use.
when there's a perfectly good EU-based non-profit site like codeberg that essentially provides the same service
I would say repo.or.cz but then we wouldn't have a web issue tracker hehe
As I perceive this: if Minetest is just a voxel engine under an open license and it's hard to blame it for anything, it doesn't mean the same for MC clones. They can have fun watching MCL on GH while MCL is weaker than MC, but aren't you an optimist? We'll win MC one day (due to we work for love, not for money), and they'll ban us formally for copying their gameplay. (To be honest, I'm not sure if Codeberg can help then, but well, it's the something.)
I see what you mean, smart.
