Minetest just doesn’t feel like a game. It feels like a monotonous program. The original minecraft font (at this link) would do wonders to lighten the atmosphere. The sans-serif font used in the game just feels too professional, serious, and modern.
As per the idiom “play hard & work hard,” I like my play to be playful and my work to be productive. Minetest simply does not feel playful right now, so its hard to play.

Currently, Minetest does not support custom game-specified fonts at all. The font must be set manually by the player. So for now, this is a Minetest issue.
Sadly, the Minecraftia 2.0 font only supports a little bit more than plain ASCII.
