Mangrove roots are not leaves and some trivia. 

* Remove `leaves` group from mangrove roots node registration.  Mangrove
  roots should not decay like leaves do.
* Fix some formatting weirdness.
* Add a "fixme" comment to some duplicated code that causes luacheck to
  complain.
